My house was built 10 years ago with vertical grain western red cedar siding and stained with Penofin transparent stain. For about 3 years the siding maintained a golden brown color then it started turning dark brown. I tried cleaning it with Penofins WEATHERBLASTER and a number of other products without any success. I heard where some people were able to restore the siding to it’s original condition by blasting it with walnut or pecan nut shell media. I have been unable to find anyone who uses nut shell media in my area. I decided to do the blasting myself but none of the supply houses carry nut shell media. I was wondering if any one has had any experience with nut shell media and where I can go to buy it.
