One of the first helpful directories of manufacturers — styled as a spec guide — I’ve come across. Listings are broken into categories and subcategories in what is clearly a serious commercial effort at indexing.
I’m curious what others use besides search engines. Try http://www.4specs.com/
Skim-coating with joint compound covers texture, renews old drywall and plaster, and leaves smooth surfaces ready to paint.

Thanks for the info andrew, the only other similar directory I've tried is the Sweets catalogue online. It's been a while so I don't have their website but I am sure You can find it easily. Good luck, Skip
sweets.construction.com is the site. I have another good one, mine: arcat.com. All cad, bim, specification content is free and you don't have to register. Enjoy.
