Not the steak John Candy ate in the movie “The Great Outdoors” but a 96″ level made by empire. I’m using it to plumb my walls. I know it’s not a Stabila but it’s all I can afford for now. Here are the results I got on my corners (see pic). I made sure I was not touching any studs that would affect my results. I guess i’m starting to see where some of my inaccuracy in the early stages may be coming back to bite me. If I make sure the corners and walls are plumb at some of the intersections of walls I have a larger gap between the last stud and channel connection. Another weird thing is that if a run a string line on the top plates to make sure my walls are not wavy it requires that my wall not be exactly plumb in some spots, very close to plumb but not right on.
BTW, how can I reduce the mb of the pic so it is not so large?
Thanks for listening.

The bubble says plumb but it doesn't look it--
The camera wasn't plumb.

sweet, they are plumb now but later they'll be prunes
They should put bubbles on them.
Your universe is out of plumb.
just wondering, are you a machinist by trade ? I think you might be too fussy ! you cant work to the thousanth of an inch with wood. In framing 1/8" is more like it.
IMO, looking straight and plumb is more important than being sraight and plumb
I think he is just a dyi that obseses about things, afraid he will make a bad mistake!>G<
Yup.
Maybe it's just his frame of reference? ;)I'm happy to get anything within 1/8"-1/4", being that I've ceilings that vary 2.5" out of level, and floors that aren't much better. Plumb, square and level are all relative I guess...Z
Actually in the aerospace industry. Just afraid of making big mistakes. I don't have the experience to know any better.
