Helllllooooooo again. How’z everyone? Hoping someone out there has experience with wells. I’m seeing sand! Specifically, if I run the dishwasher and one of the dogs’ dishes ends up collecting a bunch of water, I can see sand in the water. We just switched dishwashers, so that sure isn’t the problem.
Any chance this could be coming from our old water heater, and actually isn’t sand, or do we have a problem with our well??
Thanks!

Try flushing your water heater. hook a hose to the bottom drain and flush it out. Not a plumber but wouldn't hurt to try
momentarily suspended "sand" but not a real lot of it..???
the plumping was disturbed and there is a good chance you are seeing hard water deposits (calcium) that has come loose from the walls of the piping or from the WH...
flush the system to include the WH..
is there a hose bib at the begining of the system???
what's the water look like from there???

WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
There should be a sand filter on your water line. Does it actually have the filter in it? Is it a broken or bad filter?

Some brands of WH made from 93 to 97 used a dip tube that used a defective plastic. When it failed it would desintigrate into small particles.
Try crushing the material with a pair of pliers.
