Water seems to be leaking up from the floor to the carpet which is very wet by the front door. The ceiling’s fine, so have ruled out anything from up above. I have a slab on grade foundation, and I suspect the drain pipe is leaking. Any ideas? Is this a hard fix? Expensive? Can it be a DIY repair? I would appreciate any comments or suggestions.
Many Thanks, Bokata

What's the condition of the weather seal on the door? If you can see light between the weather seal and the threshold, it needs adjustment.
Not only the weather seal, but what is the general condition of the installation?
is this new construction? Is there a generous overhang of roof?
is there a storm door?
What drain pipe are yopu refering to? Perimeter drain? down spouts drain? waste water line? what leads you to suspect it?
is theree a bathroom or kitchen immediately proximate to this entry on the other side of a wall?

Am pretty sure a waste water line runs under the spot w/ is by the door, as this is where I suspect the drains from the upstairs and kitchen are routed. However, the area immediately around the door itself is dry. The wet spot is a few feet away from the entry. There is generous overhang and the seals are good with the door frame.Anyhow, many thanks for your interest!
If you are sure that is what the cause is, then, yes it could be a DIY fix, depending on your skill level and tolerance for a mess. There might be a way to tunnel to fix from the exterior, but you might need to get into the floor. That can be a terrible mess. Is this cast iron, ABS, or PVC?Myself, I would call a plumber. But then, here, If somebopdy called a plumber for that, he would be likely to call me to make the messs just so he could get to the pipe, LOL

Probably the wrong time of year but could this have anything to do with your lawn sprinkler system?
Why don't you just sell your house to the guy who just posted that he wants a custom interior waterfall?
