Gents, thanks for the input on wainscoting in the prior message. I’ve acquired clear, fir, beaded tongue and grove for a good price and will lay this dirctly to the studs, stripping the existing wallboard. I will probably lay oak strip flooring in this bathroom to match existing oak flooring in the hall. So the question is this: do I lay the floor before laying on the wainscoting, or do the floor first. And if I do the wainscoting first, do I leave room to slip the oak floor under the wainscoting. Does it matter since baseboard trim will cover wall/floor joint?
Thanks again.
Jeff
