What happens when the assessor and building inspector shows up?
Bob's next test date: 12/10/07
Is this just a fantasy you created in Sketch-up or is it an actual structure?

Happened to stop by a trim job we're finishing up. Health Dept was there doing the final on the septic... seems the tree house guy built his pertinant structure over one of the lines... and the pool people/landscapers had decided to put one of their walls on top of another line... ohhhh sheit<G> Now you see this one-eyed midget
Shouting the word "NOW"
And you say, "For what reason?"
And he says, "How?"
And you say, "What does this mean?"
And he screams back, "You're a cow
Give me some milk
Or else go home"
What a great house! Can you see that from a public road? Where is it? I would like to swing by an look at it when I am in the area.
I probably would have used a bigger tree but you can't complain about the execution.
I believe it is on the big island in Long Lake. You'll need a boat. Cruise by after the season when everybody is gone, and you can probably scope it out.

If I canoe by there I will take a look.
I can see it now. The first time they have a party up there someone yells, "Look at that!" and everyone rushes to one side of both decks. A real Bugs Bunny moment.
Gene, I have a rural lot in the Catskills with a number of old growth hardwoods on it, trunks about 30" in diameter. Several of them are very straight and, due to the dense forest, have no limbs up to about fifty feet.
I've been playing with a two level tree house design since I first saw the place. My own cabin in the sky.

way cool
not a very big trunk though.
i'll bet it's for the lightweight kids anyway.
carpenter in transition
Built something close to that, not near as big and detailed for the kids a couple of years ago. The tree was a little larger. Summer afternoon storm blew the tree over... oh well
Holy smokes, that's a crazy amount of work for a tree house. They must be blissfully unaware of the wind uplift effect.
Scott.
Always remember those first immortal words that Adam said to Eve, “You’d better stand back, I don’t know how big this thing’s going to get.”
Anything for the children. And what the heck, when it's just crazy money, who cares?
