A folly up to the Q’s I had about sanding…
WITH PICS!!
1) Random orbit sander is idiot proof, but you need to be an idiot with ALOT of time!!
B) A drum sander with 16 grit is one BADASS MOCHINE!!!(see barrel -o-character pic)
III) an Edger is not your friend. it is basically a grinder on steroids, crack and meth.
Delta) Polyurethane does an excellent job of waterproofing the bottoms of your socks.
five) Change the sandpaper five minutes ago.
five-bee) if you think you need ten sheets of sandpaper, get 25…of EACH grit…Actually 25 of 36g, 35 of 60g, 50 of 100g and dont be surprised when you need more.
Five sea) wait to sand the pitch laden boards til the end of a piece of paper
six) feathering is as important to floorsanding as it is to sex!!
sept) big dogs rule but they are very little help when finishing a floor!! (unless you want dog hair in the finish)
oh yeah, the barrel of character is for sale!!
I numbered all the chunks so anyone wanting a REALLLLY antique floor can reassemble them.
Hate to waste good character, it is in such short supply these days!!!

Almost..I lost some roof...have not assesd the real damage yet, lost the diailup for a spell this am, my NID exploded.
We hunkered down and rode it out, seems all arond us was whacked..gotta love a 150 year old log crib, it has seen worse and survived.
