1/4 or 3/8″ hoses is the question. This is for a Hitachi NV75AG and 50′ of hose. Can anyone point me to info on this? I can’t find it anywhere.

You could use either. I would get a 25' Flexeel hose (they're very light) and use that connected to the gun, and another 25' rubber hose connected to the tank. Or a 50' Flexeel, although they're kinda snaky.
I use 3/8 hoses. but I also use the 3/8 couplers and nipples. doesn't seem to make sense to me to step down at the gun ( or is it like hydraulics?)
We use a 3/8 lead (100'), then usually another 100' of 1/4". The 1/4" might affect recovery time. The youngsters might occasionally jam their staplers when they want to machine gun fire them. Us oldsters just keep on plugging away at a normal speed and usually end up done before them.

so you're saying it's a fashion thing, I wanna hang with the hip young things I gotta get me some of those spiffy new 1/4" blue flexeel hoses!Ended up ordering 50' of 3/8 and 50' of 1/4 - this is for fence and deck work so I'm thinking I can keep the compressor centrally located, we'll see how well that works. Thanks for the help.-s
Storme, sorry, I'm not that hip. I use 1/4" hoses by senco. They're ugly green but they lie flat.
I won't use anything that constitutes a trip hazard. I'm too old to lift my feet.

either would be fine, Personaly I like 5/16" flexeel over the 1/4" it seems to be a little more supple.
