What to replace electric baseboard with

I have a 20 yo home that is presently heated with electirc baseboard which is becoming too expensive. The house has a walk out basement so all of the celings are finished. Any ideas of ways to install ducts or baseboard heating without tearing off alot of sheet rock?
Thanks

You might provide a bit more information. What type house? What climate? etc.
Perhaps someone who knows a good solution to your situation will show up.

Your best bet is better insulation, just as much work as a new heating system but pays for itself from day one!!
Hot air heat is very uneven, radiant froor is real nice and if you have access can be install from under the floor. Again more insulation will cut the running costs.

I don't get it. Do you want to install more BB heating or do you want to install a forced air system?
Electric BB will probably be less invasive, but more costly in the long term. Are you willing to get involved in an 'active pursuit'? Consider a wood stove or a pellet stove. Each has their pros/cons.
Scott.
Always remember those first immortal words that Adam said to Eve, “You’d better stand back, I don’t know how big this thing’s going to get.”
Been there, done that, have the T-shirt.
Lots of insulation, including under the floor (I hate cold feet). Add a ceiling fan to keep the air moving. Baseboard heat is about the cheapest to install and the most expensive to use. We moved (new house - heat pump), but my brother added a pellet stove in the living room in his house to "supplement" the baseboard heat.
Yeah, where do you live, what fuels are available, how big is the house, any other heating systems in the house, is there a utility area available for installing a furnace?
Probably hot water baseboard heating with the flexible plastic pipe would be the least invasive -- kinda "plug compatible" with electric baseboard.
