I’ve got two situations: first, a fireplace enclosure to be faced with 2’x 2′ panels, 3/4″ thick; then there’s a tub where I want to go all the way up the wall on three sides with 12″ squares of (3/8-1/2″ tiles. Should I apply a more stone-friendly subsurface? Can I use a standard masonry adhesive? Should I also use clips to secure the 3/4″ stone? Thickness is definitely an issue–I’d like to minimize it as much as possible.
Additionally, I’ve been assured that I can dry-cut this stuff with a good diamond blade, but I’m skeptical. Any help on these questions would be greatly appreciated
