I haven’t bought OSB in about 5 months and the last sheet cost $5.50. I just priced it for a small job and it’s close to $13. I can understand supply and demand. Ican understand hurricane season. But if I didn’t produce at my job, do you think I could attain more than double my salary?

That would be hard to fathom since that doesn't apply to manufactured wood products..

may be part of the overall equation then. There are also plant shut-downs, seasonal demands, and hurricanes..

The owner of my local yard told me his suppliers are affraid to stock much at these prices, that nobody wants to get caught with a bunch of it when the price cycles back down.
Of course, 1/2" CDX is still a couple bucks a sheet more than OSB. Can't blame 'em, I guess.
OSB like crude oil, you have to add in the Bend Over Factor! 7/16 OSB $12.97 a sheet @ the Big Box . 85 unleaded 1.65 gal
