Hi,
I have a driveway with a path coming off each side at the garage door. Not sure what the starting sequence should be. I’m thinking start at the bottom of the driveway so the pavers line up with the street. Then just continue up the drive until I get to the side paths, get a start on them, then finish off drive then finish off the side paths. Hoping it all ties in. Any tips appreciated,
Mike

My experience when trying to layout a repetitive hard surface, the longer the run, the more chance to make up inches. No matter where you start, you should be able to expand the layout minutely, and end up with full units. And if you don't? no big deal, that's what a saw is for.
or a pc of expansion joint.........
As far as the walks, you should be able to start and stop their point of entry even easier-by expanding or slightly narrowing it's width.
I don't do much paver work, but I do know that the base if a very important part of it. Moreso I imagine under a driveway.
Best of luck.
pavers
Mike,
Which ever end you start at you will most likely have cuts at the other end. I would prefer to have the cut down by the street. As for the two paths off the drive, you could put some kind of header course at the intersection with the driveway and maybe turn the paver 90 degrees to do the walkways.
There is the point that, if this is a significant slope, starting at the top would result in pavers wanting to slide downhill as placed, whereas working from the bottom would help keep them tight.
My preference would be start at the top and work to the road. My only reason is the homewner is going to look at the top much more often than they look at the bottom and people driving by will be....well driving.
Thanks all.
Mike
