I need to purchase a 16 gauge nailer (I have 2 15 gauge nailers).
Any thoughts on what I should get?
Thanks
John

Skim-coating with joint compound covers texture, renews old drywall and plaster, and leaves smooth surfaces ready to paint.

Look at the features of the Bostitch FN16250-K. The "K" stands for the kit which includes 3 additional profiled noses and a box of nails.
Amazon currently is having a sale.
I just got one, and the cool thing is the magnetic keeper in the nail slide. You can load the mag with a few different sizes and the action makes it easy and fast to switch nail lengths right in the gun, without having to fish around in your bags.
Oil free is good for no-stain finishes. The depth of drive works very well.
I can only testify to the ones I have used. I own the Paslode and really like it. Small, lightweight, but very powerful. I also have used the PC and Bostich (older model, tho). Those, IMHO, are more bulky for my likes.
I get paid to do carpentry. That makes me a professional.
If I work on my own house does that make me a DIY?
I've got three Hitachi stick framers, two coil framers, two coil siding nailers, a 15 ga, a 16 ga, and a narrow crown stapler. All of them have carried their own weight. Any gun that I think I'll use more than occasionally, I buy Hitachi and have never regretted one of them. I buy Bostich guns for the lesser used guns.... MCN framer, coil roofer, and an 18 ga trimmer. I have had good luck with them as well but I fear durability issues with the daily grind.
Another handy 'neat' feature on the Hitachi finish nailers is the built in "blower" or air nozzle that you can use to clean up your work area or tools and stuff. Not exactly a deal breaker, but still nice to have.
