I have rented a tile saw in the past, when I have had tile jobs to do.(not very often). Now I seem to be getting a few more jobs and I would like to buy one. The brand that I rented from our local rental place is a 7″ MK. I don’t know the model #. I really like it and I am wondering if that brand is a good one? I looked on a couple of web sites for tile saws and got a little confused with all the models that MK sells. I am pretty sure I can get by with a 7″ as I noticed that one of the models had a 20″ rip cap. and a 14″ x 14″ diagonal cap.. I think it was the MK770.
Anyways I would appreciate any advice I could get!! Thanks!

I had a Felker, nice saw but it somebody broke into the house that we were working at and stole it plus other tools.. Now I have a Husky, about 300 bucks. works pretty well.
This would seem to be a deal that cannot be beat:

There are a lot of really cheap, really bad tile saws out there now; you want to avoid the type that looks like a miniature table saw. They sell for around a hundred bucks, sometimes less. It's not worth it. The only thing in those saws worth anything is the blade, and you can get a blade for less than that.
The best tile saws have a movable blade & motor head which slides over the tile like a SCMS. They have good splash guards and a re-circulating, filtered water pump with a hose directing the water onto the blade. Expect to pay from $500 to a thou for one of these. If that's too much to justify with the business you're handling now, you're probably better off renting. The cheap saws will drive you nuts and run up your scrapped-tile rate.
