My dad has a shell of a home (exterior done, nothing inside) and we’re thinking that our next step would be to design the heating & cooling system(s) for the house. The question is, whom do we approach to do this?
Naturally, there are a few wrinkles in this situation. First, we’d probably try to do as much work ourselves as possible (to save money & to learn). Second, we live about 2hrs from the house, so it would be more convenient to work with someone in our area as opposed to where the house is.
So, would we work with a local heating & AC company & just pay them for their time, or would purchasing the equipment/materials through them be sufficient? Or would we be better off working with someone local to the new house (and visit it)? Or should we just have someone do the whole system for us so we can move on?
Thanks!
Pete
