Why can’t I get my computer to act th…

I keep playing with my preferences and all I can get are 1) The bullet list showing every single message as if I had hit the “outline” button or 2) messages numbered #3, #4, #5, etc.

I want the most recently active message to show up as messages ready to read and I want to see the decimal thread numbers so I know who’s responding to who.

Can anybody figure this out?

I agree Ryan. But I had to stop raising the point - I badgered Andy so much I thought I might get kicked off the board. :)

As I understand, those are the only options available, but Andy and Larry are supposedly looking at work arounds. See my 'Yuengling' threads here and in the Tavern.

*See the same thing Ryan, and have just today badgered the goombah. Admittedly, I am getting used to this new way. However, speed scroll for those humongous threads makes me dizzy (er than I am already). It never ceases to amaze me about this computer stuff that when something seems to be working, some braniac (who can't even give i easydirections on how to operate things)has to mess with it and calls it upgrading. And in no way am I meaning the goombah. This is reserved for the folks on the west coast.Waiting for notification that we went back in time.

        *Ryan,

Try setting your preference like these, see what you get. . .

*Forget the settings Joe. How'd you get that red line and circle on the pic/post?!!!blue

*Thanks Joe but It's still giving me the "outline" thing. Maybe that's what everybody else has been using all along and I'm one of the few who had it set the other way.

            *Ryan,

Well it was worth a shot. Can you get a "screen shot" of your screen when you logon to BT?
