Fine homebuilding is an excellent mag the way it is, for pros by pros, with a good selection of articles. My fear was, to appeal to a broader audience of readers Taunton would start making the magazine more like This Old House, which is really this millionaire's house.

About 2/3rds of the subscribers are non-pros, just for clarification. There are an awful lot of DIY'ers and fine home admirers who don't give a darn what fabric is best for curtains or how to do creative stenciling.

Scooleen is talking about the new magazine, Inspired House, that Taunton is releasing soon. It is oriented more towards decor and living than building and fixing....that's not a mistake, it's rustic
