What’s the prefered technique for weep holes (assuming both are done correctly)? I’m seeing more and more wick-type applications and I’m not sure I like that solution. I’m not sure just HOW MUCH water gets behind brick during heavy rain, but it doesn’t seem like the wicks will be able to remove a lot of water…
TIA

I've noticed on a lot of jobs, high end, if they had any weep holes at all, they were buried. I thought the wicks were put in so that when they rotted, there was a defined path for the water to get out.
