I would like some information about a reglazing system I saw a long time ago but am having trouble getting information about. Old sash are kept, single pane glass is removed and the sash is routed deeper to accept new pieces of insulated glass. Counter weights are removed, pockets filled with insulation and jamb liners are installed. This is done on-site (someone comes in a panel truck with equipment mounted inside) with insulated glasss measurements done earlier. Original sash is saved for architectual reasons.
What is this process called?
Any contractor/product reccomendations?
Any links at all to help me research this?
Thanks in advance.
Juan
