Does anyone have a quality solution for window seat hinges. No, I don’t want to use piano hinges or have anything showing above the seat. I had a great hinge that I always used, spring loaded, adjustable, lid support…you name it, of course, no longer available. I bought up the leftover stock from my hardware store, but need more, and they are no help. Thought I would put it out there, see if anyone has a source.
thanks
Bill

You might try Rockler. If they don't have it, could you post a picture here?

These are available from Lee Valley. Looks like you'll need a "joist" running under the edge of the fixed back part of the seat, right at the hinge line, but that's probably OK. Maybe something like a piece of 5/4 x 4 pine.

What I like is that they "stop and hold" when opened to 90 degrees.
Thanks,
Since I posted I found the hinges I've used in the past from HardwareSource.com. I had been looking under window seat hinges, switched to Toy Chest hinges and was able to locate them.
Thanks again.
