We’ll, my f/c siding job continues and goes ok. I’m close to starting the wall with windows that need replaced but still don’t have the money for that. For trim I’m using 1×4 cedar and was wondering if I went a head and sided that wall if I could come back later, remove the trim and install a new window. Minus the trim would there be enough wall exposed to flash the new window properly?
thanks

if you know what window your putting in, ie. o/s casing dimensions vs. RO you currently have, worst case scenario you just cut the siding opening larger, rgiht?
Use Vycor or flashing tape behind the joint, unstall the trim with trimheaded SS screws and then you can remove it later without ruining it.

yes.
Yes, but you may have to trim your flashing tape to fit. The narrowest stuff that I have seen is 4" vycor. You might consider temporary trim with pine (less expensive) so you can do the siding, then remove the pine and and replace with cedar when the time comes.
