wood floor over concrete in dry sunroom
This is the first time on a chatroom so, and on the internet so work with me. I want to install 3/4″ wood floor over a dry concrete slab. It’s an existing sunroom thats part of the home, currently carpeted and dry. i’m not too worried about transitions to the other rooms. I need some ideas on what type of underlayment to use. I was going to put down Ice and water shield first.

I will submit this idea for review and counsel from others:
You COULD use a combination of 1/2 or 3/4 in 2 inch wide "sleepers" and "R Board" (depending on how much total thickness you can stand) You could cut your R board into strips that would make your sleepers (same thickness as R board) end up, say, 12 inches center to center.
You COULD let the sleepers "float", unattached and slide them tight edge to edge with your R board strips. The sleepers COULD be treated wood if you had the right quality (to lay flat). They could be ripped from premium treated deck boards. (In this case fasteners would have to be hot dipped galvanized or approved for treated wood.) If your space is truly dry you might not need treated wood sleepers.
When you start nailing your flooring, you could put a strip of construction adhesive on each sleeper before you nail the tongue and groove flooring down.
(BTW) I saw this done by a musician at Lake Okaboji - it was a beautiful maple floor and had held up well for several years.
Larski,
I was just sent a photo of the floor I was telling you about during construction:
