Walt - I assume that you meant corner

- the Victorian type. Try calling around to local lumber yards -- our local yard was able to order some for me. They are getting harder and harder to find.
Renovator's Supply might still have one in their catalog, although I'm leery of a lot of their stuff.
Jeff
*Local yards should be able to get them. Here in Ohio, all have access via their suppliers. Paint grade/oak. One plywood supplier has them in a box next to the counter. Send back Manny and I'll ship you the box. Best of luck.
*For mail order...do a search for "Renovators". Jeff
*thanks for the info. Calvin...if the laws of supply and demand really worked the corner beads would be worth more than Manny since they seem to be so much harder to find that athletes!
*If you are referring to simple plain outside corner bead, made of wood, I see it all the time at the lumber yard and home depot. Pete
*Me too. As a matter of fact we use it sometimes on flat stock used as casing on the outside edges. There are many various ways you can use it and it seems to be plentiful.Billy
*So what are you talkin up there? Outside corner, beaded outside corner, or corner guard? Semantics.
*While you're at it...Has anyone seen a moulding that looks like the letter "C" It is meant to be used with the rounded corner bead as a means of continuing the base board around the curve. You cut a piece of it a little longer than the height of the base board, fasten it to the corner, then butt the base board flat against each side. I'm presently working in a house that's full of 'em, but don't know where to buy more.
*I've had those corner blocks made by a small millwork shop. Both inside and outside. Tops were beveled to a shallow point.

Does anyone know of a source for wooden corner beads near Boston?
Thanks in advance.
