Woodpellet Stove in Living Space
Good day all, <!—-><!—-><!—->
I plan to install a woodpellet stove in the living room of my new home to be used as a second heating source. My past experience with woodpellet stoves are that the fans and pellets dropping are quite noisy and not all that attractive. Any suggestions on brands that will complement a living space such as a living room? <!—-><!—->

I may not be sure but here in oregon they stopped making the presto logs some people were burning, someone said they were haveing a hard time getting the pellets, Also when the power went out they could not use the pellet stove, maybe it works with power to drop them in, Not sure just told this you should double check
I am also in Ore. Pellet stoves are going to be a dubious proposition in the near future.
For starters one of the largest manufacturers here in Ore. is having a hard time getting materials, they also just had a fire at their facility.
In the long term the timber companies are starting to get into bio-fuel generation (comes with fed and state tax shelters etc.) so the long term source of raw materials is going to be very dicey.
Added to that the stoves are worthless without power and I wouldn't purchase one myself.
We just had an ice storm here and the local suppliers ran out of pellets, leaving those with the stove unable to use it for heat even if they had power.
I'm an owner of a pellet stove.
I'd get a wood-burning stove meant for house heating instead.
The in-laws have a pellet stove. They're in Reno and are working off last-year's stash of pellets - everyone is out of stock this year. Am I hearing a theme here?
