Okay, so I’m not exactly working with “Bob Vila,†but then how many of you would want to work with him anyway?<!—-> <!—-><!—->

I have however been working with another home improvement TV star for the past week now. It’s Chris Babcock, host of the DIY Network’s “Restoration Realities.†He’s also a journeyman carpenter, besides also being an architect, a former contractor, and a master of window restoration. Fine Homebuilding is also his favorite how-to magazine, just as it is mine.<!—-> <!—->

We’re remodeling part of a shopping mall and turning it into a dentist’s office right now. Chris seems to be an incredibly nice guy. He’s very modest about his qualifications and doesn’t mind listening to my suggestions, often accepting them. He’s also always very complimentary. Although he seems sincere, I hope he would also let me know if I was frustrating him or something. I say this because I don’t usually work with people who have that much experience in construction, that are that courteous to those they work with. <!—-><!—->

Here’s a link to a page with a video recap of a Restoration Realities episode.<!—-> <!—->

Just tell him that you want to learn as much as you can from him so you'd appreciate any constructive criticism he may feel is appropriate. Other than that, if you keep a a positive and open attitude, everything should work out well.
Sometimes doors open without effort. Other times they are closed and unyielding. It's taken me most of this lifetime to understand negative karmic return and how to remain free of it's earthly consequences. Now I'm working on accepting positive, loving karmic return and embracing it's uplifting rewards.
I believe that one of the secrets to living free in spirit, is to see and accept both karmic manifestations as gifts. One is the framework, without which the other cannot be fully grasped.
Had I learned this earlier in life, I could have had a more rewarding career path.
Best wishes for great rewards from this good fortune.
