I recently had a second floor added that was built using Trus Joists (TJI). Now I am renovating the first floor and am moving partitions. The electrician and plumber that I work with appear to dislike working with TJI’s as they can’t just go and cut holes in them. They have made me paranoid about nailing or doing anything with them as well. But I have to install new partitions and I will need nailers for the sheetrock. I am at a loss as to how to install bridging, so I can support the nailers and support for my partitions, in these TJI without doing some damage.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
