What I think is cool about this project is how it evolved over time to meet our families needs. Phase one was very functional, but adding the fireplace and sunroom really kicked it up a notch. Wish I could have posted more pics of it finished, see the link below.

Phase 1:After moving into our new house, the first order of business was to build a new deck/outside living space. Wanted a larage open space that worked well with the new landscaping.

Phase 1: Close up of kitchen area, togue and groove roof, custom made stainless, hotwater at sink.

Phase 1: Far side of deck, built curved bench myself. Had one major problem, the concrete cracked (rained like hell the day of the pour).

Phase 2: After ten year of heavy use, the old deck was still in good shape, but need to be updated to match our changing lifestyle. We decided to add a roof/3-season over the center part of the deck, a fireplace by the bar!

Fireplace roughed in, note concrete foundation, fireplace overlaps onto deck, but does not support it.
