We built this new kitchen in our Santa Fe home. The range, with 6 burners and a 24″ elevated flatop, is by Imperial and the refrigerators and freezer are by True. The countertops are granite. The cabinets are custom made of natural cherry. The construction and design is in the Santa Fe style, with vigas, a nicho with glass shelves, flagstone sills, tumbled travertine backsplash, and skylights. The stool side of the island is storage cabinets.

Great kitchen. My wife and I are building a home with five 10 inch vigas that we want to install in our living room. Did you install the vigas during the framing stage? Or after drywall? Any other tips are greatly appreciated.
