Thermador‘s new five-burner Pro Harmony range and pro rangetop balance the utility of five burners with design features that make the 30-in.-wide appliances a possible fit in less-than-pro surroundings. With a total cooking surface of 59,000 Btu (individual outputs on the five signature Star burners range from 8000 to 18,000 Btu), these compact appliances can make do with a recirculating system or with ventilation as low as 300 cfm, according to the manufacturer (outputs above 60,000 Btu require heftier ventilation). Adding to their versatility, they boast a design that reduces temperatures enough to allow zero clearance against rear-wall surfaces. The 24-in. counter-depth range has a 4.4.-cu.-ft. convection oven. Both cooking surfaces include burners featuring Thermador’s ExtraLow simmer function. Pro-quality metal controls and the brand’s familiar blue indicator lights complete the package.
