Fernando Pagés Ruiz

fernando pages ruiz

Fernando Pagés Ruiz is an advocate of panelized building. "I used to include a framing step called pickup where an experienced carpenter would double back to inspect the framing and fix mistakes," said Fernando. "I was able to eliminate this step entirely when I switched to factory panels." Besides being a smart homebuilder, Fernando is the author of Building the Affordable House: Trade Secrets for High-Value, Low-Cost Construction (The Taunton Press, 2005) and Affordable Remodel (The Taunton Press, 2007). He has developed, built, and remodeled homes in California, Nebraska, and Wyoming, and has won a number of awards, including recognition from the National Association of Home Builders.
