I go through loads of reciprocating-saw blades when I’m working on remodeling projects. To get into tight spots or to cut flush where the nose of the saw gets in the way, I’m often forced to chuck a long blade and count on its ability to flex.
Of course, flexing the blade like this often causes it to bend horrifically or to snap completely off long before the teeth are worn down. At a price of several bucks per blade, the loss can become costly. The Flush-Cut Adapter provides a simple, effective, and—as far as I’m concerned—better solution to this problem.
The Flush-Cut chucks into any reciprocating saw and offsets the blade 11/2 in. to one side. The blade locks tightly to the Flush-Cut’s 3/16-in. steel plate with a simple hex-head screw clamp like the ones found on the nose of old reciprocating saws. The offset blade affords greater control while making flush cuts and also extends blade life—no bending necessary.
