I’ve had complaints over the years about AC Compressors outside of bedrooms making too much noise. I find it tough to have a conversation around a running AC compressor. But, Mitsubishi claims to make outdoor units that are quieter than your average conventional unit. They say they are quieter than conversation levels.
I recently installed a Mitsubishi VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) unit on a jobsite and I took my Extech Sound Meter with me to test and see for myself if these units are really as quite as they claim.
