Networking Event Continues #KeepCraftAlive Fundraising at PCBC
Building-trade pros will be supporting scholarships; meeting industry peers; and enjoying swag, drinks, and food after the PCBC show on June 27.
In 2016, building trades supporters contributed $25,000 to the #KeepCraftAlive movement, funding scholarships for students learning industry skills. In 2017, the movement raised $70,000. This year, organizer Fine Homebuilding is working to continue that effort, starting with a fundraiser and networking event after the PCBC show on June 27, 2018, at the ThirstyBear Organic Brewery in San Francisco.
The evening will feature networking with builders and craftsmen from all over the nation, as well as fundraising and giveaways from some of the best industry brands. The event is co-sponsored and supported by CertainTeed and Pella Corporation.
Attendees will meet with Fine Homebuilding editors and ambassadors, enjoy organic craft beer, sangria, and Spanish tapas, and receive swag bags full of gear and gifts.
All net profits from event ticket sales will be donated to the Fine Homebuilding #KeepCraftAlive scholarship fund with SkillsUSA in order to help close the skills gap and support the next generation of craftsmen and women.
Fine Homebuilding will also match dollar for dollar any additional donations beyond ticket sales to help support the cause. Early registrants receive a discount and are guaranteed to receive a swag bag. The donation is $40 for advance registration, $50 at the door.
