Low-Maintenance Engineered-Stone Sink
A wide variety of colors and a granite composite material make the Silgranit sink from Blanco a solid option for both durability and looks.
Perhaps nothing in the kitchen endures the tasks of daily life more than the sink, so it makes sense to choose one that can stand up to a lot of abuse. Blanco’s Silgranit sinks combine the beauty and strength of granite with a durable, easy-to-clean finish. These sinks are made from a granite composite material, with up to 80% ground granite mixed with pigment for color and high quality acrylic for protection. The nonporous, smooth stone surface of Silgranit is incredibly durable and stain-resistant, repels liquid, and can withstand high temps whether from boiling liquid or a just out-of-the-oven pan. Scuff marks can be removed with just a little water and mild cleaning agent. The Hygienic + Plus protection formula used in the sinks also inhibits the growth of bacteria.
With nine colors available, ranging from darker hues such as Anthracite to lighter options like Biscuit, you can match your counters or make a statement. There are several size and design options as well. Choose a single or double bowl with configurations from farmhouse-style to flush or undermount. They even have round sinks for a bar and drop-in sinks for a laundry room. While they can be more expensive than stainless or acrylic sinks, if you’re looking for durability, this is a good option. Prices run $450-$550.
