Forgive me if I posted this b4. It’s a simple fix for a vexing problem. The roofer who installed the membrane failed to use a drip cap that was large enough to extend beyond the wood fascia board. The result was leakage and rot in the soffit. I repaired the soffit and installed a new fascia board. I gave the fascia board a kerf cut and tapped Pella Frame Expander aluminum into the kerf and behind the existing drip cap. Presto…a simple fix that does not require an expensive roof membrane replacement.
