NOTICE: New Mounting System for the MultiMaster |

All MultiMaster accessories will eventually have this new style mount. |

View Image | View Image | Fein is introducing a new mounting system for the MultiMaster and its accessories. The advantages of this new system will be: View ImageUp to 40% increase in output torque. View ImageThe positive connection of accessories to the tool, virtually eliminates slippages. View ImageAccidental loosening of the accessory during working is greatly reduced. |

To implement this change they have decided to change the accessories mounts first and then introduce the new MultiMaster at a later date (We’re told the Fall of 2006). |
View Image |
View Image | View Image | As the diagram on the right demonstrates the new style accessories will fit on your current MultiMaster, you just won’t be able to take advantage of the benefits that the new “positive mount” design will offer. View Image Because Fein will introduce the new style accessories without notification, and in an on-going basis, we will have mixed inventory from now on until they run out of the old-style. |

Hopefully the new stuff still works on my old multimaster. I have never really had a problem with the simple hole, it allows me to make my own blades for scraping, etc.
I wonder if that arbor will be the same as with the fein caulk scraper or other industrial use fein tools?

Your tool will accept the new style blades etc.
They've been out here for quite a while and no problem matching up with the new tool.
The super multimaster has a separate and different style which only fits the super unit.A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.

I wonder if there will be an option to buy a new arbor for the existing MM to take advantage of the new blades? The new design is a good idea as I have noticed slippage with the current model.
I'm working on an adaptor to bolt mine to the bedpost.
Magic Fingers, here I come ! !

You've been looking at the optional concrete vibrator attachment. (I'm serious, it exists)
making the arbor a complicated shape insures they won't loose blade sales to people making there own at a fraction of the cost, one of those cases where the supplies cost more than the tool ..
