I would think Makita would have the hook and loop replacement (peel and stick) in packs of 3 – but they don’t. As far as I found they only offer complete replacement of the pad and backer together for about 35$
– and the experience we have had is sanding too long on a sanding disc or throwing a disc and not noticing for a couple/min ruins the loop pad.
The solution I came up with is to order a replacement pack of 3 – 8 inch peel and stick loop pads for a stationary shop sander plate. I had to cut it down and punch the holes, sand the existing loop pad level (reverse sand with sandpaper facing up on table) then glue the pad on with gorilla glue.
The pack of three replacement loop pads is about 15$. (right now can’t find the link if I do I will post it)
