The last couple of years have had me replacing most of the office stuff slowly, computer, fax, etc. Now I’ve got a digital camera. Intent here is to take a picture of a room or building facade and be able to superimpose what the customer wants on to that photo or photos. This strikes me as easier for the vast majority to “visualise” than your average blueprint, and suspect many out there have already been doing this for some time.
I know there’s many programs out there that can do that. Not owning any of them, I’m as interested in versatility as I am easy of operation. I don’t have the intestinal fortitude to want to learn another QBPro. Open to any and all opinions. Regards.

Therre was an outfit all set up and ready to go with something like that as an online thing, but more for interiors. He was linking to a database from manufacturers. You, as the contractor would subscribe to it for __x dollars a month and you could upload photos. Then your customer would select the finishes and relay the decision to you to write into contract and implement production. I think he was also planning to get a cut from the manufactiurer or from you on sold jobs too.
That was just before the tech bust hit so I think his angle backing fell through on getting off the ground. There may be some version of this around but his sounded a little pricey for me. can't remember the name. 'Pro-File' rings a bell but I don't quite think that's it.
I know paint sites and armstrong flooring site has something similar but kind of generic, not a customized look for "their own" house

Well, not so much response here. Did have a conversation today with my local CAD guru, and ran this by him. He felt that Adobe Photoshop was, in his words "the industry standard and the only way to go." FWIW, it's also about $600. Put it on the list of things for the future, right after the Hilti TE76.
