Post It notes are exactly 3″ wide. Unable to grow a third hand, I’ve used these butted up to inside corners and other difficult reads such as curves and long tape distances where I need two hands to keep the tape from “breaking”. Just read the edge of the Post It note and add 3″. It also helps to hold a mini mag flashlight in your teeth while you use your “readers” to focus on the measurement. You can then write the measurement on the Post It note so you don’t forget it on your walk to the saw.
