South Mountain Company of Martha’s Vineyard, MA, designed and built this sweet little writer’s cottage as part of an affordable housing fundraiser on the island. According to John Abrams, the company’s president it was built from “100% found stuff”. Salvaged materials of all kinds, including a large piece of cypress from a river in Georgia and old press plates from the local newspaper Vineyard Gazette went into the cottage, all crafted with consummate skill into a beautiful little building. A fine place to write a blog, the next great American Novel, or simply to sit and ponder the ocean just outside the window. Perfect….
