Chris Conner is a modest man. When discussing this project, he gives most of the credit to his talented crew of designers and carpenters, to California-based interior designer Annette Tatum, and to the homeowners’ vision of a traditional New England home with hints of West Coast style. However it came together, this remodeled Vermont home is spectacular. Even with a second-story addition and reworked plan, the completely remodeled home retains an appropriate style and scale from the village street. A reclaimed-wood floor and curved winder stair are the centerpieces of a stunning interior full of traditional details and smart design ideas, yielding a home full of function and character. Congratulations to Chris, the Conner & Buck crew, Annette, and the home’s owners for the best remodel of 2016.
