Cordless Phone Charging
Is your home cord-crazy? Well, wireless charging is coming your way.
Ten years after the iPhone ushered in a new era of mobile computing, more than three quarters of American adults say they have a smartphone. Along with their popularity comes the less popular proliferation of charging cables that seem to take over every room in the house. If you have a cord sitting on your sofa side table, on your kitchen countertop, on your nightstand, in your treadmill’s cup holder, and on your bathroom vanity, you’re certainly not alone.
If, on the other hand, you recently purchased a phone capable of wireless charging, you now have a new option for ditching the cords at home. Legrand debuted its Qi-certified Radiant Wireless Charger to hold and charge your wireless charging-enabled phone in the space of a standard duplex outlet. (You don’t have to have a duplex outlet installed to make this unit work; it expands a single outlet to accommodate the charging feature.) It also has a standard USB port if you want to charge a second phone that works with a cord.
- Comes in white, ivory, light almond, and black
- Overall 3.1A charging capability for all Qi-compatible devices
