Anybody out there ever had to replace the chuck on a DeWalt DW511 VSR Hammer Drill? I seem to have stripped the T-20 torx screw that holds the chuck in, so I can’t get the old one out. I’m guessing I just need to drill that screw out and get an aftermarket replacement screw to go along with the aftermarket replacement chuck I bought. (??) Does anyone know if Home Despot (where I got the replacement chuck) would sell that replacement screw as well, or if that little bugger is something I’ll need to order from DeWalt? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

No chance Home depot would have one and if they did, it would not be the quality you'd want.
It may also be left handed thread. So when you go to drill it out you might get lucky and have it unscrew a bit in the process.
They coat those threads with loctite - they're a bear to get out sometimes.
And if you didn't know it was left handed (if it was), that explains why it's stripped now.
If you can't get the screw nub out of there - no worries - get the new chuck threaded on the shaft with some loctite and let it dry properly and use it with no screw with no problems.
Check out partsdirect.com for the actual part numbers for ANY tools. If you order thru your local dealer you'll not have to pay shipping charges.

I don't think you're simply going to drill the screw out. What you'll need is a screw extractor kit - drill a hole into the screw and drive the retractor bit into the hole. It tightens up and turns the screw.
Not sure about replacing the screw, or if it's reverse threaded or anything.

For what it's worth, there's a bunch of factory refurbished DW511 on ebay for about $50, or 65 with shipping. 1 year factory warantee. Considering the time spent on that chuck, it's not a bad deal.
Of course I realize you probably need it now and can't wait a week for delivery, but I just thought I'd throw the ideal out there. Just search their site for DW511 and you'll get a bunch of them.
