i’m a builder. I am doing a foundation and would like feedback for what type of foam block would be appropriate for my Norcal project and what would be cost effective.

Tom - go with whoever sells & supports ICFs locally. I used Amvic, but there are many - too many to list. Google ICFweb - there is a lot of 'net info. Also look for HUDs Prescriptive Manual for ICFs - the engineering tables & rebar schedules are a great source of info. Icfs are great in my opinion.
