This is easy, although not to me I guess! I have tried to find, to no avail, some parts to redo my windows. I am looking for those little screw grommets that hold the interior sash stops in place. I need them in a silver variety.
Any ideas on a good source?? Mine are all painted or missing. Thanks!

Jake,
I am not sure what you're looking for but Blaine has lots of parts.

Gotta a HD near you? I just bought a box (quantity: 100, I think) two weeks ago. Hanging in the screw/nail aisle.
If not try Mcfeeleys:

Thanks guys, the finishing washers in McFeely's are oh-so-close!
But the existing ones I have are more like grommets. The screw sits down inside them, so nothing is projecting above the surface of the wood stop, except for the material thickness of the grommet flange. The hole in the bottom is actually a slot, presumabley for adjustment.
It seems so common...but I just can't pin it down!Jake Gulick

I just used the finish washers you refered to. If I recall they came in several sizes so that i just got one that was a little oversize such that the head was completely recessed. A very close match to the original on my 1920s double hungs.
I know what you're talking about -- it's a cup-shaped deal with an outer lip that overlaps the edge of the hole, and a hole in the bottom of the cup for the screw. The screw head sits entirely below the face of the trim. These were used for all sorts of removable trim in homes and business built roughly 1920-1950.Don't know what they would be called, unless it's "cup washer" or some such.
I believe the slot was to slid the window stop tight against the window in the winter, when it wouldn't be opened. You might try poking around here,

I haven't looked at those finishing washers at McFeeley's and so don't know if those offered by Jamestown Distributors are different or not. SS, they are.You might also try Outwater Plastics. That's a maybe. http://www.outwater.com.Or visit your local upholstery businesses and/or auto trim ....and/or custom RV places.Or maybe try an upholsterer's supply website. How about here? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=finish+washersKnowledge is power, but only if applied in a timely fashion.
You may want to look for one of those small, old-timey hardware stores in an older neighborhood. There's one down the street from my house that had them in stock when I needed some. I believe they're called "finishing cup washers," if you do a Google search you'll find a few places that sell them online - here's one example. http://www.cabinetmart.com/67.html
