The twin staircases could hardly be more straightforward, yet each is refined by a surprising number of subtle details. The most obvious being the tapered newel posts, and moving down to the bottom tread the wraps around the stair wall. White risers and wood tread add to the delicate play of light and shapes. These are the types of details that “make or break” a design as well as the photograph.
