Every once and a while you get an opportunity to photograph a house that speaks deeply to your sensibilities. This was the case with this home on Lopez Island.
Great architecture, wonderful craftsmanship and a special location all contribute to make this a truly transcendent project. This home both addresses the history of architecture and builds on it. I felt honored to be able to photograph it.
This house is part of the latest Taunton book, The new small house- which I photographed last summer along with Susan Teare– another “through the lens” photographer.
