When architect Stephen Foote bought an old inn on the coast of Maine he reduced its overall size, renovated it and converted it into his summer home. While keeping many aspects of the original building he also added new twists that make it a very livable and delightful home. This deck on the second floor overlooking Merrymeeting Bay offers gorgeous views and abundant sunshine. The off white clapboards and white trim contrast nicely with the summer green of the lawn, azure blue sky and deep blue of the sea. Simple white Adirondack chairs complete the picture. A great place to spend the summer!
