There’s just something about a home library that appeals to me. Maybe it’s the idea of a room dedicated just to books and study, or perhaps it’s the aesthetic of the books themselves. In any event, a library can make a wonderful addition to any home. In this case, Polhemus Savery DaSilva Architects Builders created a very nice one indeed for this house on Cape Cod. The coffered ceiling, interesting window fenestration and handsome built-in shelves blend beautifully with the homeowners’ classical modernist furniture, creating a very inviting space.
